Introducing the winning announcement for "Hey There, Delilah!" poetry contest, where we've invited writers from all around the world to craft a heartfelt poem that celebrates the strength, beauty, and resilience of women everywhere. Whether it's a tribute to a special woman in their life or an ode to the collective power of women, we wanted to hear them all. Emily Schorzman is a writer, a sports fanatic, and a die-hard lover of the Trolls franchise. She is a senior at Gonzaga University and will be graduating with a degree in English with a writing concentration in the spring.

CLS Sandoval, PhD (she/he) is a Pushcart-nominated writer and communication professor with accolades in film, academia, and creative writing who speaks, signs, acts, publishes, sings, performs, writes, paints, teaches, and rarely relaxes. She’s presented at communication conferences, served as a poetry and flash editor, published 15 academic articles, two academic books, three full-length literary collections, three chapbooks, and both flash and poetry pieces in literary journals, recently including Opiate Magazine, The Journal of Magical Wonder, and A Moon of One’s Own. She is raising her daughter, son, and dog with her husband in Walnut, CA.

WHO’S AFRAID OF JANE AUSTEN? - ALEX ANDY PHUONG
Alex Andy Phuong earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from California State University—Los Angeles in 2015. He was a former Statement Magazine editor who currently writes about literature, film, and culture. He also earned an Associate of Arts in English from Pasadena City College in 2013, and tutored there. He has written hundreds of film reviews for MovieBoozer, and has contributed articles to Mindfray. His writing has appeared in The Bookends Review and The Society of Classical Poets. Emma Stone inspired Alex to submit writing actively to publications after hearing the Oscar-nominated song, “Audition (The Fools Who Dream)” from the “Best Picture” nominee La La Land (2016). His poetry collection is An Altruistic (Cyberwit.net, 2020). Currently residing in Alhambra, California, he now writes with the sincerest hope to inspire readers while fully supporting the ones who dare to pursue their dreams. Jennie Meyer is a poet and Certified Dreamwork Professional. She is a 2023 winner of Beyond Words: The End of the World Creative Writing Challenge and a 2022 grant recipient from Discover Gloucester for poems and an essay.
