Another huge event is that one of my poems was published in this wonderful collection produced by @winglessdreamerlit. This collection mainly features dark poetry inspired by none other than the American master of gothic poetry and prose himself... Edgar Alan Poe! I was thrilled when my poem “Crooked Smile” was selected for this project. The title of the collection is A Glass of Wine with Edgar

I absolutely love this publication! The editing is not critical in a way that doesn’t discourage the writer. I have written for other publishers and had my work dissected where it didn’t look like the poem I wrote. I have never had that experience with Wingless Dreamer and I admire that from a publisher. The artwork throughout the books helps bring life to each poem or story and the color scheme always matches the contest theme. The contest themes are never stale and have enough detail that it brings out a creative idea each time I write for a Wingless Dreamer contest. My love for writing and first publishings began at Lincoln University in my hometown of Jefferson City, Missouri but Wingless Dreamer revived my love for writing after numerous rejections. WD provided a confidence and passion boost leading to more publications beyond poetry.
